When to bid for leads

The time of day may play an important role in determining successful lead bidding. We reveal the periods with the most activity.
As part of our analysis of activity across FinanceLeadsOnline.co.uk, we regularly break our leads down by the hour to see when we receive the most enquiries from potential customers.
As shown in the graph below, the majority of leads are delivered between 19:00 and 20:00.

Between Mondays and Fridays, those working conventional office hours may have returned home from work and can focus on reorganising their finances. According to past experience, FinanceLeadsOnline.co.uk receives more leads during this time than any other period in the day.
A number of brokers have told us they turn their bids off when they leave the office – this decreased competition may mean those who leave theirs on have more chance of securing this business.
Fewest leads are delivered early in the morning and late at night. However, there’s also decreased competition for the leads generated during these hours, so it may be possible to pick up low-price leads before 9:00 and after 22:30.
Chris Cowdery, Head of Sales at FinanceLeadsOnline.co.uk, says: ‘During our conversations with brokers, a few of them have expressed concern that leads generated outside office hours will be lower quality.
‘However, brokers who take and call leads in the evening and weekends tend to receive just as high, or even higher, conversion rates than those who call during business hours.’
